It’s not just about the writing. We take great pains to make each issue look and feel like something worth keeping on a bookshelf. There are other similar publications out there doing similar things for their respective clubs but in terms of aesthetics, we’d happily chuck our solid spine minimalist product featuring our own original artwork into the ring with any of them and feel confident ours would at some stage, produce a knockout blow and take its place on a football bookshelf alongside The Blizzard or Mundial magazine.
We continue our black and white - with hints of red - colour scheme. Original artwork accompanies most written pieces using a variety of styles. The front cover won’t curl up if you leave it lonely and unaccompanied. And there’s that beautiful spine with another music-themed quote.
In short, there is some wonderful artwork to sit and stare at even if you don’t fancy reading all those words. And believe us, there are a lot of words in this issue.
Join us at the Southbank City bar on Thursday 1st December for ‘An Evening with Ian Storey-Moore’. Issue Two will be available to buy on the night – probably still boxfresh from the printers.
Issue Two will be available to buy via the website on the day after – Friday 2nd December. Owing to it being the day of the Newcastle game and being a Friday night, we will not be setting up a stall in any of the surrounding bars to sell copies in person. Ordering via the website is your safest way to acquire a copy of Issue Two. The online shop will open on that day.
